Just at the end of Jalan Malioboro and Jl. A yani, you will find on your left hand side a Dutch fortress, now converted into a museum. Located in front of the palace of Yogyakarta Sultanate, it is surrounded by a moat.
There are four dioramas of the history of Indonesia. Entry ticket of IDR 10000/- for foreigners is a bit on higher side looking to the value of display. See it for yourself in the pictures attached.
